While adding research, do not forget to add citations and references. Adding them will also help you in increasing the word count. Besides research, you can also add a quote that aligns with the point you are describing at the place. 

4. Add Counter Arguments 

Counter arguments can also help you increase the word count of your essay. But they must be genuine, do not make the mistake of adding fake ones. They must be backed by authentic sources.
